Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing humanity today. The global impacts of climate change are vast and varied, affecting the environment, economy and public health. One of the most visible consequences is an increase in global temperatures, which has the potential to cause various natural disasters. Extreme heat waves, floods and droughts are becoming more frequent, creating pressure on water and food resources. From an environmental perspective, climate change is causing polar ice to melt, which could raise sea levels and threaten coastal areas. In addition, terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems are in crisis, with significant biodiversity loss. Certain species are threatened with extinction, exacerbating ecosystem imbalances. The economic impact cannot be ignored either. The agricultural sector, for example, experienced a decline in crop yields due to changes in weather patterns. This can lead to food price instability and, in turn, food insecurity. Poorer countries, which are often the most vulnerable, will suffer more acutely from this crisis. To overcome these impacts, sustainable solutions are important. First, the transition to renewable energy is a crucial step. The development of energy sources such as solar, wind and bioenergy can reduce dependence on fossil fuels which contribute to greenhouse gas emissions. Implementation of environmentally friendly energy policies by the government can also encourage investment in this sector. Second, increasing energy efficiency in industry and buildings needs to be considered. Adopting green technology, such as LED lights and efficient heating systems, can significantly reduce energy consumption. At the individual level, public awareness about saving energy and using more environmentally friendly transportation must also be increased. In addition, reforestation and land conservation must be part of the mitigation strategy. Restoring lost forests not only maintains biodiversity, but also plays a role in absorbing carbon dioxide from the atmosphere. Environmental education programs can increase community participation in sustainable projects. From a technological perspective, innovations such as the development of electric cars and carbon capture technology are very promising. Policies that support research and development in this area will be key to finding more effective solutions to combat climate change. In a global context, cooperation between countries is very much needed. Agreements such as the Paris Agreement reflect a collective commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Countries must cooperate on technology and exchange knowledge, especially with countries that are more vulnerable to climate impacts. The impacts of climate change cannot be ignored, and integrated management needs to be implemented in depth. Awareness of the importance of collective action is the basis for achieving effective and sustainable solutions. With continued efforts, we can build a better world that is more resilient to the impacts of climate change in the future.
